Four Season Walk at Fort Williams, Fall (walk #3)
In partnership with Wild Seed Project, come walk the native plant gardens at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth as we get to know the character of Fort Williams in fall.
This is the third of four walks, spaced throughout the year in each unique season, where we will engage in observing and asking questions of our surroundings, and identifying the varied plants, shrubs, trees, ferns, and wildlife along the trail.
Each season brings something new and spectacular. The goal of these walks is to foster relationships with place through relationships with plants and encourage further stewardship of community spaces.
We’ll focus on the Children’s Garden at Fort Williams, a beautiful example of cultivated landscaping that centers on native plant species. Time permitting, we will also explore part of the Cliff Walk loop.
