Welcome to Our Living Classroom!
Fort Williams Park offers a multitude of educational opportunities to engage and inspire learners of all ages. Here is where history, geology, horticulture, and ecology merge to provide a unique and diverse learning environment.
Our Education Committee has developed a series of educational initiatives in partnership with area schools and community organizations. We seek to provide a contextual space for classroom content, as well as extracurricular and service-oriented activities. Stay tuned to see how our activities will continue to evolve with our Ecology Project landscapes, as well as other areas of the Park.
Enthusiastic individuals with interest(s) in history, geology, horticulture and/or birding are needed to round out the Education Committee (teaching experience is not required!). For more information, please email our Education Committee Chair, Andrea Southworth at email@example.com.
We welcome community and corporate groups and will gladly work with you to tailor a learning or service experience to meet your specified goals. You could not ask for a more gorgeous or engaging outdoor classroom than Fort Williams Park! For more information, please email our Education Committee Chair, Andrea Southworth at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office at 207.767.3707.
