Where does the tour start?
Please start at the Registration table in Fort Williams Park, where you will find signs to guide you and ample parking. When you register, you will be given a tour program with information about the garden locations.

Is it a guided tour?
You may visit the gardens in any order you wish, and spend as much or as little time as you like. Each garden will have a volunteer docent, and some will have landscapers or owners to talk with if you have questions.

What if it rains?
Unless the rain is torrential, the tour will be held as scheduled. Information concerning postponement, if necessary, would be posted on

Can I bring my kids and dog?
Children are permitted on the tour; however they must be supervised by an adult at all times. Those under 5 years old are admitted free; all others will need a ticket. Pets are not permitted.

Are the gardens handicapped accessible?
Gardens are not necessarily handicapped accessible. It’s a good idea to wear comfortable shoes, as a fair amount of walking is involved.

Will lunches be available?
There are several good places for lunch in Cape Elizabeth and South Portland, convenient to the garden locations. There are also food trucks at the Park.
